Thank God, I’m found...
Thank God, I’m found...
I remember once entering a church, and near the entrance, at eye level, were these very simple words painted artistically on a wall: “Welcome Home.”
Those are powerful words. They accurately describe our condition, and God’s invitation. We were all meant to come home again. All of us wander, but that’s what makes coming home so important. You and I were never meant to get lost and stay lost. We were never meant to be disconnected from the household of God. Instead, God calls us to come home...
“God have mercy on me, a sinner!”
Did you know that this simple prayer makes the angels of heaven rejoice, and that it’s also our ticket home? When we simply come clean about the faults of our past and present, and ask for a relationship with God, we are forgiven because of Jesus Christ.
Why Jesus? Because He (who was perfect) died for our imperfection so that we might perfectly live in Him. If you trust in Jesus and live for Him, God always sees you in the light of His perfect Son. Christ’s reputation, therefore, becomes our reputation. We don’t have to stand on our own merit (or lack of merit) any longer. We are truly free to come home to God, and to remain in His house. This is His loving gift of grace.
So, please come home. You don’t have to be disconnected anymore. You don’t have to hide anymore, or stay away anymore. Any number of churches in Devon (or elsewhere), including Regency Christian Church, are waiting to surround you with a loving family, and to help you grow in your walk with Jesus Christ.

TOP 10 THINGS TO DO WHEN GOING FROM “LOST” TO “FOUND”:
1)Commit yourself to starting fresh, with Jesus to help you.
2)Pray, listen, and just start reading a Bible book, like (for example) the Gospel of Luke.
3)Find yourself some Bible-believing Christians who will pray for you and with you.
4)Commit yourself to daily prayer, and to worship with other Christians at least once a week.
5)Ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you to a church that you can commit to for the long term.
6)Grow! Identify your Holy Spirit gifts; cultivate the “fruit” of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22).
7)Don’t be naive about the Enemy (Satan) who doesn’t want you to come to Christ, or to grow. Remember, if the Enemy is going to distract you, Saturday nights or Sunday mornings are often his preferred times.
8)Realize that becoming a mature disciple of Jesus is not just a day-long process, but a lifetime process.
9)Don’t forget that you were meant to minister. Serve. Disciple others. Let your light shine for Jesus!
10) Jesus is the Saviour. He’s also your Lord. Don’t make decisions, then, without the Holy Spirit saying “Yes” (“No”, or “Not yet”) to you. This means learning how to “wait upon the Lord”. Though hard at times, this process will improve your life immensely, and give you a far more effective, and powerful testimony. If you want to become more like Jesus, you must allow your life to be moulded by the spirit of Jesus.
